El Cajon

El Cajon, located about 15 miles inland, is a mostly middle class neighborhood situated on a valley floor and surrounded by a pleasant rolling hill landscape. A performing arts center and an airfield provide culture to this workhorse town where the social scene is consistent. There are hills with views, if diversity is desired; homes with more room and more amenities.

Santee

Nestled between gently rolling hills and located near several refreshing lakes, Santee offers the comfortable convenience of urban living with the serenity and safety of the country. Since its incorporation, Santee has worked steadily to enhance the community's quality of life. Toward that end, the City Council approved the Town Center Specific Plan, a 700-acre mixed-use development straddling the San Diego River. This project includes a high-tech office park, multi-family residential, open space, and a planned 55-acre community park for recreational activities. The San Diego Trolley has its eastern terminus in the Town Center and includes a major shopping center (Santee Trolley Square).

Alpine

Alpine is a picturesque foothill village with many attractive homes and small ranches nestled among the oaks, sycamores, eucalyptus and pepper trees, amid rolling hills covered with chaparral and sage.

Spring Valley

Spring Valley is the county's largest unincorporated community, yet offers a “small town flavor” to each of its residents. The climate in Spring Valley is an attraction in itself, with temperatures influenced by mild ocean currents and an abundance of sunshine. Summer temperatures average 89 degrees F, with winter temperatures averaging a comfortable 61 degrees F. Spring Valley is 481 feet above sea level and enjoys a smog free climate that offers a yearlong growing season. This temperate climate allows area producers to harvest citrus crops and other types of produce. Lifestyles range from apartment or town home residents to the urban professional, and on to those with larger properties for enjoying horses, livestock and rural community life. Spring Valley holds the golden promise of becoming one of the most attractive residential areas in the country. It's miles of rolling hills, moderate climate and nearness to the Pacific Ocean, mountains, deserts and countryside, make it an ideal southern Californian community.

La Mesa

Centrally located in the rolling hills of San Diego County, La Mesa is known as the "Jewel of the Hills." A near perfect climate, tree-lined streets, walkable neighborhoods, easy access to retail and commercial areas, and a quaint downtown village make La Mesa a highly desirable community in which to live, work and do business.
